I have a batch of Hefeweizen that I brewed a couple of months ago and bottled. I have about 30 bottles left. While it tastes fine, it is IMHO very under-carbonated for a Hefe. I feared the exploding bottles, so I stuck with the 3/4 cup corn sugar to 2 cups water per John Palmer's How To Brew website.

I was considering GENTLY pouring each bottle into a keg (with the keg at an angle to prevent oxidation, and then kick up the co2 to get it to proper carbonation.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't do this? If so, are there any other options? I don't want to waste half of an otherwise good batch.

Thanks! It worked well. :mug:
