Oatmeal Stout Krausen question

I did the Gregars Outmeal Stout on Tuesday and everything went pretty well. There is plenty of airlock activity but no krausen. Is this normal? My other beers all had disgusting amounts of krausen on them.
 
Funny you mention it, i made a partial mash oatmeal stout (half pound of oats, I believe 2 pounds of maris and some specialty) with Wyeast 1318 and had a lot of airlock activity with an extremely small krausen (actually the lowest I have ever had)

Maybe its the yeast? What kind did you use?
