Hey All,

I was looking through the Sunday flyers this morning and noticed a 30 quart pot with cover and a 50,000 BTU propane burner in a combo. There listing it as a turkey fryer, but for $57 CAN that seem to be a good price.

I would like to expand my brewing and I believe this would be a great place to start.

turkey fryers here at home depot run around $50 US when they go off season

normally a bayou classic will run about $80 around these parts

Well it's brand new, so I hope it's in good shape. This is the first time I've seen a fryer kit even on sale around here. Deep frying turkey's hasn't really taken off in this area.

I think a SS one would be better, but I can always upgrade later and I'll have the burner for a while.

Just boil some water in it for 15 - 20 min. to oxidize/season it first.

Sounds like a good price. You can always use the 30 qt. pot as a mash tun later, that's how I did it.

i saw the same ad in my sunday zehr's flyer and thought about getting one
but canadian tire always has them for $69.00
i really want to hold out for a stainless pot though.

bass pro shop online has a stainless pot for about $75.00 USD.
the same pot at bass pro in vaughn north of toronto is $135.00 CAN.

man do prices jump when they cross that border!
