Hi guys,

Im new to brewing and I have never even attempted it before. I know a lot of you probably will tell me to go buy a Mr. Beer or some other kit but I am not interested in that. People told me similar things when I was buying my first motorcycle but I went ahead and bought a 600cc instead of a 250cc because I knew I would be happier with it in the end. I am sure I will have some bumps along the rode if I do buy a larger beer set up to start with but I think it will be better for me.

Like I have already said before I am complete noob to this so I need a lot of help finding the right products to get started. So guys, can you please pick out my equipment for me? Just post links to other sites so I can see what I need.

Thanks!

I personally dont know of any kits that have burners and pots also. I would check around.

no, but you'll need that stuff. i'd go for the intermediate kit to start, based on what you said. for the burners, look for turkey fryers. 55k btu or higher burners ( i have a 58k burner, a 110k burner, and a jet burner) should be cheaper now that thanksgiving is over. look at sporting goods stores for them. some stores have a 58k burner and 28-30 quart pot for around $50.

Where do you guys get most of your ingredients from?

Also, how does this kit http://www.homebrewers.com/c=tEtxzK...Beer-Making-Starter-Kit-with-Ingredients.html

compare with the ones Slantedbolt sent me?

I personally would go with the one I sent you, its cheaper and has more equipment you need.

For Beer ingredients and/or Beer kits, I would check out http://www.austinhomebrew.com/ for premade kits. Thats where I have gotten mine from so far, and they are great.

For just ingredients, I see a lot of people on here talking about http://www.brewmasterswarehouse.com/

I know a lot of people want to go crazy and buy the most expensive equipment they can afford when starting out. I'd just buy basic equipment and slowly upgrade as you get into it. That way you have a better idea of what makes brewing easy FOR YOU.
