Easy to do with a Cream Ale. Just make sure you get a good lather.

I use feather and cheapest I can get 100 is £22 (like $35?), ordering from Thailand through Amazon.
I guess they're a little more expensive than most, but they feel so good! Maybe not so necessary now I use Edwin Jagger preshave lotion which makes a huge difference for me.

I want to do a peanut butter ale i want to know if anyone else has done one before?
wash your mouth out! we just have to work harder at it. and y'all should try my Spam Steam Beer. chunky style. This is a shaving thread. Bald faced people can't make good beer. There has to be a peanut butter porter recipe around here somewhere.
Try this. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...UDY3c8ATLs4FA&ved=0CFAQrQIwBA&biw=320&bih=416
Now I don't mean to rain on your parade, but after about a sample pack of 100 different blades, Derby was in the bottom 5 of the pack.
Sure YMMV but I wouldn't wish my dog to shave with those blunt instruments.

Where'd you come from?

Eh, it'll just condition your face that much faster!
I got some ARKO in a Christmas package from someone at Badger and Blade. I may have to buy a case and be set for a three years. One stick lasts forever.
My strop comes sometime soon, hopefully I can shave like a real man and not a vintage man very soon.
I had an interview yesterday and shaved with a tried and true soap of TOBS Sandalwood. That super thick, fragrant lather when warm is amazing when you lather up. Spa treatment for your face every morning!
Lots of nice soaps out there. I ordered a sample of Mitchell's Wool Fat when I got my strop and I like that too. The TOBS Sandalwood cream is just heavenly and I may still like it best.
There are so many nice soaps and creams out there. I have really only tried the less expensive ones. You can drop a lot of money quick on a lot of this stuff. The plus side is if you're watching how much you use it can last a long long time.

did you get creams or soap? fulls or samples?
Soap vs cream is up to the user. The creams lather super easy and you will need less on your brush than you think you will.I love feathers in my Slim Adjustable. I got the 5.3 oz cream tubs. Are soaps preferred?
