I recently did a simcoe single hop using the rye extract that just came on the market. I used a Kolsch yeast and its in the secondary for about another week, dry-hopped with simcoe, waiting to be kegged. I didn't want to waste that nice yeast cake so I racked a new brew on top of it. I was low on cash so I used a can of pils LME, a can of golden light lme and a 1/2 lb of victory 25 steeping malts that were lying about. 1z Nugget 13.5 for 60, 1z Hallertau 6.9 for 15, and 1z Hallertau 6.9 for 5. Intuition tells me its gonna be good, but stylistically its kind of an orphan. What should I expect? BTW new brew cost 32 bucks for a 5 gal batch.
