I did this once accidentally and when pulled it out, had kind of a white, slick film on it.I leave my tubing in a five gallon bucket full of sanitizer and just pull it out when I need to use it.

I do the swing-it-around thing as well.I go to my driveway, hold the tubing at one end, and swing it in a 360. The centrifugal force makes most of droplets fly out and whatever drops are left are small enough to air dry. I started doing this after I found black mold growing in some tubing.

Anybody have any favorite methods for cleaning and/or drying your plastic tubing? I can never seem to get all the water out.
Cheers!
Depending on the concentration and time left in the solution my SaniClean sanitizer does the same thing on vinyl tubing only.beesy said:I did this once accidentally and when pulled it out, had kind of a white, slick film on it.

I prefer to hang all my hoses.
I had the guys at work make different hangers for different hoses.

I use only 5/16" ID vinyl. Buy it by the roll. Use it once and toss it.
I just rinse with hot water and hang them draped over a hook in my brew storage room to drip dry. I can't believe how complicated some people make it, lol.
Probably the best way to make sure its clean, but over time seems like alot of extra cost. Unless you get a real good deal buying by the roll.
