Brewtopia brought a ton of beers to the Home Brew Conference and he was nice enough to give me a few of them.
The least I can do is enjoy and then give my impressions of them here.
Brewtopia, you rock! :rockin:
The first one is a 22oz bomber from Avery Brewing. It is Called Collaboration not Litigation ale and was brewed at Avery by them and the head brewer at Russian River, Vinnie Cilurzo.
Here's the story.

When I opened the bottle there was a lot of carbonation in it. When poured, a huge head formed that had to settle. Head retention was quite good through the whole glass leaving Brussels lace down the sides. The beer is amber and quite cloudy.
A good sniff into the glass and the malt nose is strong. Very little or no hop aroma. This could be my kind of beer! <- Not a hop head
When I taste my first sip I confirmed that this is my kind of beer. I love the malty sweetness balanced by a medium hop bitterness. The maltiness gets better the more I drink. 8.99 ABV is printed on the label but I'm not getting an alcohol bite at all but I am feeling it pretty good after 22oz! )
Collaboration not Litigation is a beer I would recommend to all you other "malt heads" out there but it may be hard to find. It was a limited release bottled in January of this year.
