No more trips to the water store for RO!

Incoming from my water softener was 327ppm I haven't noticed a break-in period and I have no uv filter. My tank is a 40 gallon nsf plastic tank with a float valve to stop the flow, then is hooked to a pump and a 3 gallon bladder tank to stop the pump from short cycling. The pump pushes the water...

No more trips to the water store for RO!

Congrats! I just made a similar move for the same reasons, tired of hauling all those 5 gal jugs around! I have really hard well water, this has made a huge difference in my beers!

    RO Water Storage?

Just had this put in, it's a 40 gal nsf water storage container with a float valve to stop flow when full. Also have a pump and a dedicated line to the Brew kettles to fill em up.

    What's your profession?

I run a bakery for a large Midwestern grocery chain, I guess it's cool I get to play with yeast and fermentation even though making bread is not nearly as fun as making beer!

    Spike False Bottom?

I've had the spike false bottom for a while now, I've never had a problem with grain getting through and getting in the pump but I do have compaction issues. There's is no way I could run my pump wide open so I have mine set a little less then halfway and I stir the mash every 15 minutes, seems...

    Homebrew Canners - Can Seamers

@mob1800 (on instagram) designed both my logo and my labels. He was very quick and helpful and does a great job. I ordered them from sticker giant. Get the matte labels so you can write on them. Mine are 5" high x 8" long so they almost meet on the back of the can. I do exclusively 16oz cans, so...

    Homebrew Canners - Can Seamers

They are totally worth it!!! No regrets here. I have been purging with a co2 gun I made and just filling off my flow control taps. No oxidation problems that I can tell.

    Experiences with pellet smokers?

I have a Pit Boss pellet smoker and I love it. Does everything I need it to and it can also get up to 500 degrees no problem. Pretty much the same as a treager just cheaper.

50 amp vs 30 amp control panel

Do a 50 amp panel, you will find it useful for cleaning and it's nice to preheat strike water in the boil kettle and pump over to the mash tun while heating the HLTs sparge water at the same time!

Show us your electric brewing rig

Yep beers on tap, it's called raspberry pints. Just Google it and you will find tons of info on it.
