    Yes "1056 American Ale Yeast" is what i used in my Strawberry Blond and i believe it was "1028" i used for the WiezenBock High Gravity. I could be wrong on the second...i really cont remeber with 10 or so summer ales down. :cross: tHE "1028" wAS THE ONE USED TO MAKE THE STARTER THOUGH

    Priming with honey

    i put honey in my wort, thought it may cause problems b/c of the sugar but i wasnt sure, it was in my brew kit though. what do you all think.:confused: my reasoning for this before i get flamed was higher Alcohol content

    Really Rough first brew.

    well i cant answer all of those but when producing my wort i use about 1.5 gallons of water. I leave my lid somewhat on to keep water from evaporating but not let it get to hot and boil over...basically i find the right heat point (about 5.5 on my electric stove) and crack the lid a bit. To...

    Using bottled water to brew.

    I was also curious about this..what water are people using? I read that as long as your household water doesn't taste like chlorine your O.K.

    Yesterday, i went to sanitize my things so I used 5 gallons of water with 2 tablespoons of Clorox "Clean-Up" which states it is cleaner with bleach and that it "disinfects"... so my question is, is this bad? Is it going to ruin my beer or make me sick? I thouroughlly rinsed everything out...
