    Using rinsed yeast

Cool, thanks I'll check it out this weekend. Just wondered if there was a standard amount everyone used. Like 1/4 cup or a measurement like that as apposed to a cell count. I'll check it out. Thanks!

    Using rinsed yeast

I recently started rinsing and reusing my yeast. What my main question is how much do I want to pitch into my starter. Should use approximately the same amount as a white labs tube? How does everyone else measure it out? Are there major side effects of over pitching. Also, realistically, how...

    Washed yeast and trub?

I recently tried my hand at washing some wlp001 a few weeks ago from an IPA. Everything went pretty good but I have a small layer of trub still in my container. Is this ok? Or should there be no trub at all? I have two small "jam" style jars and they both have about 1/16 inch of trub on the...

    Kegging too soon?

Thanks! I slightly chill it before I transfer but it will sit at room temp in a keg for 1-2 months before I actually throw it in the fridge

    Kegging too soon?

I curious what the side effects are of kegging once initial fermentation is complete. Usually with my IPAs i'll primary for 7-10 days and secondary w/ dry hop for 7-10 days. If im doing a 6% Brown Ale or something that doesnt need a secondary, and its done fermenting at 7 days, is there a down...

    Weldless brew stand.

Could you use an acid like mentioned above in a spray bottle, spray the whole stand and let it sit, they spray with something to neutralize the acid when done and rinse clean with water???? Just a brew fueled thought:)

    Weldless brew stand.

I don't have any experience with zinc either and I also used bed frames. I did also use the high temp grill paint. It has held up very well everywhere except on direct flame.

    Re-pitching S04 vs S05

Yeah, i ll prob wait a week at tops and take a reading. Ill prob make a run to the LHBS ahead of time and grab another S04 just to be safe, incase i do need to re-pitch.

    Three tier stagger/Counter flow/Kegerator

The outer hose is a super cheap and flimsy garden hose I had laying around. It looks kinked, but thats just how flimsy it is. LOL, yeah I didn't want my beer tasting like dirty gym socks so I took the housing apart and cleaned with a soft brush and bleach solution, let that soak over-night...

    Three tier stagger/Counter flow/Kegerator

Hey, I've lurked around here for some time now and have gotten tons of info so I thought Id share pics of my three tier I made. The frame is made of a few old bed frames that were in my attic. I also made a counterflow chiller with a washing machine pump that works great for about 30 bucks...
