You know you're a home brewer when?

My partner/wife/SWMBO - would NEVER ask me to do something or question anything I do about brewing - she would support me if I wanted to live under a bridge and open a brewery --- I'm with you my friend. And if I need help with kegging and or bottling she is right there. On the other side she...

    Bottle cleaning

He is right on ---- a clean bottle is easy to soak and sanitize --- if someone returns a bottle to me with dried gunk in the bottom - in the trash it goes... I bottle about a third of what I brew --- I like to give people a beer or two to take home to enjoy later

How much beer do you keep on hand?

I try and have 10 gallons drinkable at any time --- right now just a little low - bottled Project X Tuesday night and kegged 5 gallons of it. I stepped up to 10 gallon batches over a year ago and would never go back to just 5. I was using 2 glass or better bottles - then the 60L Speidel arrived...

Anyone know the quality of these fermentation tanks?

I would go by the feedback for these tanks if I were you. When someone tells you a product is worth the money, you just might believe them. When everyone tells you a product is worth the money and it's built properly, you gotta believe them. You know what you want to do ---- just do it!

    DIY Walk In Cooler Build

Just wanted to add a comment to this quote: We live about 2 hours south of Dallas and 3 hours north of Houston. We built our 1900 sq ft house here which was completed April - 2011. We elected early on in the planning to build an Energy Star rated home no matter what the expense was. To have...

    New Dispenser

Here is what I came up with for the outside --- I think I am going to do the top with the new Dolphins logo and not use any clear coating over it. Being so wide, it flexes a bit and I think any kind of coating will crack and look bad after a short time. Next update will be after the vinyl...
