    Dialing in my system

    Brewed 3 times so far and the first two the gravity was off by .006 first one .003 second one and .020 third one. The third was a hefe. I was low on volume on the first two.     Northwest Vegas

    Plate chiller

    I brewed on Saturday and noticed after boiling I ran the wort through my chiller and it had maybe a 1/4 cup of clear water/sanitizer before the wort. Will this cause any problems? What about left over pbw? Any worries?

    Pot welding

    My father in law and I drilled holes and welded fittings into my brew pots. Question is 1.) do I need to grind the weld on the inside of the pot? 2.) do I need to polish it? 3.) what about the outside? Are these questions of aesthetics and not functionality and sanitary? Thank you, Aaron

    Plate chiller flow

    I am getting ready to mount my plate chiller and was wondering which is better and why. To push wort through or to pull the wort through using a pump?

    I am fleshing out an idea to minimize the use of ice for my chilling stage. Does anyone use/mix in salt in their ice water to run through a plate chiller? Making ice cream that is how you do it to keep the ice cream chilled during mixing?
