    Lumpy Starter

Hi, I have a question for you guys. I made a starter with 1968 (London ESB) that I do not use very often and it looks very lumpy. I could make cheese if I strained it (maybe a curd or two). Does not smell bad, does not look like an infection at all, I just have never seen starters that...

    Which grains need milling?

I have a Barley Crusher, Monster Mill is also good. Your LHBS should have a mill for you to use.

    12 hour days...

Hey, you could be without a job. I myself have worked 63 straight days at 12+ a day. Not fun. I ususally do about 3.4 months worth of overtime a year!

Have I been ripped off? CO2 Refill

I pay $8 for a 5 lbs refill and $12 for a 10 lbs refill. Sounds like a little bit much.

    How much do you brew

Sadly, I do not brew as much as I would like. Mostly due to a demanding job. I try to brew once a month (10 gallons) and I have to put it on the calendar... If I had my way, I would brew a lot more.

    Ferm chamber

That is what I am planning on building in a few days. I found a cheap AC at home depot. To make sure the temperature is easily maintained, I plan on putting 2" thick isolation foam covered with reflective material inside the chamber. Good luck.

    All-Grain Equipment for Sale

Dues to size, I think I would have to ship by freight, which could be as much as $300. It would be so much easier not to have to ship it this way ad less cost prohibitive for buyers. If I get nothing locally, I may consider shipping it. P.S.: Yes, I am in Oak Creek, WI.

Anyone a member of the American Homebrewers Association?

I am a member too. I like the magazine and the discount of course. I have yet to participate in an AHA function, but may do so at some point.

Has anyone seen this?! (yeast starter saga)

I am at a loss for words. Unfortunately, I work with a guy that is kinda like that and I just can't stand him. But you know I have been in a few forum communitites and there is always one of those. The pours.... OMG the pours were terrible.
