    Look over my wheat recipe?

Hey guys, im brewing a simple wheat beer, I haven't decided if I am going to make it a cherry wheat and add some locally grown/canned cherries (not pie cherries but canned with no sugar added) in the secondary. I do smaller scale BIAB batches on the stove mostly because I dont drink that much...

Awesome Dog Tricks - What have you trained your best friend to do?

My 12 year old springer spaniel Maggie can shake with both arms, roll over, lay down, get "shot" with a finger and play dead, she used to jump through a hula hoop for a treat but shes kinda old for that now. She also will let you put a treat on her nose and wait for a command to eat it.

Received Hallertau hops from Midwest - 7.2%AA??

Give them a call and see what they say, in my experience their customer service is awesome! Maybe you'll have some free appropriate AA hops coming your way!

    Time for a new capper

Ive tried both and for my style of bottling the wing capper works better. I have the "red baron" wing capper (most likely the red one your lhbs has) and I have zero complaints so far. I would say try to find the best solution that fits your bottling style

    Low Gravity Brewers Unite!

Pretty much all my brews that Ive been making lately are low gravity session beers. As others have said I like to enjoy the taste of beer (and ability to have 3) without the side effects. Plus the more I drink the more I can brew!

    Guinness lager

I had a friend bring some over one night as his beer, he left one in my fridge and I thought it was ok, i was curious about a dark lager so i brewed up a schwarzbier. Once it was all finished i liked it magnitudes better than the Guinness offering

    BIAB boiling & efficiency

I'm new to all grain BIAB as well. My last 3 batches have gotten around 70-72% efficiency. Like you I also have a 5 gallon pot (from my extract brewing days) I usually shoot for a 3 gallon batch. (and smaller batches mean I can brew more often = more fun)
