New to Soda: seeking syrup recipe ideas.

Hi all, I've been homebrewing beer and wine for years, but want to get into sodas. What I'd like to do is make a large batch of concentrate syrup, store it, and add a certain amount to a 5 gal keg of water and carb whenever I want. Looking to start with a ginger ale and root beer. Not...

Seeking dry substitute for Safale US-05

I'm out of US-05 and so are the local homebrew shops. They have other dry varieties available (no liquid options). Is there another dry yeast that is the same strain as US-05?

5gal Pin Lock Keg with Disconnects: $30

I have this old pin lock laying around I've never used and would love to sell. There's a leak in the lid that I haven't been able to fix. I think it can be repaired by someone handier than I. Keg with disconnects for $30. I'm in Ontario and will ship anywhere at buyers expense.

Help! What to do with a busted pin lock keg.

Unfortunately, yes, I've tried that. Liquid actually leaks out the lid, so the size of the leak lets all the pressure out.

Help! What to do with a busted pin lock keg.

I've got an old pin lock that leaks from around the lid (a lot). I received it this way (for free). I've tried keg lube, I've swapped lids, I've used extra fat O rings, and even tried to bend the mouth of the keg to seal. Nothing works. I'd like to use it, as I don't want to buy a new-to-me one...

    BeerSmith Ingrediants field blank!?!

I'm no computer wiz, so I'm looking for help. Recently, the ingredient box in the "Recipe View" page has gone blank! Every recipe, new and old. What's going on and how can I fix it?

What is it and how do I get rid of it?

My hops were happy and healthy 'till a few days ago. Leaves started developing holes and drying up. I found the culprit, his picture is bellow. Who is he, where did he come from, and how do I get rid of them? The largest ones are about 2 inches long, brown/black/yellow, furry, and bright green...

    Commercial Coffee Brewer R.I.M.System

I have a chance to pick up a smaller one of these. Twin 3 gallon urns and a 20 gallon water jacket. I'm thinking of mashing/sparging in the urns and boiling in the water jacket. What do you think?

    Dual Body Regulator

Please pardon my ignorance, but how would you hook this up to the CO2 tank? Would I need a reg on the tank first, or is there an adapter?

Looking for the commercial coffe maker brewery....

I remember seeing a thread about a machine like the one below being used as an electric brewery. Of course, i can't find it now. Can you point me to it? http://imgc.classistatic.com/cps/kjc/111004/433r1/7606cnj_20.jpeg

Brew day help needed: how do I measure fresh orange peel?

Everything's ready and the strike water is heating... My LHBS didn't have dried orange peel, so I bought a few oranges on the way home. I need one ounce of sweet dry orange peel. How do I get that from a fresh orange? Is one ounce of dry equal to one ounce of fresh? Please comment!

    Looking for wood cask alternative

Having a big party this summer and want to wow the crowd. I make a hell of a helles, if I say so myself, and would like to serve it poolside from the cask. Is there a product out there that mimics a traditional wood cask? I want to use it for lagering, carbing (with sugar) and serving. I DO NOT...

    PartiGyle Festbock/Amerian Red... Suggestions needed

I've tried to parigyle once before and it didn't work perfectly. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Anyway, with lager season coming, I want to remake a Festbock I made last year. The recipe needs some tweaking, but the components are (in order of amount used) Munich, Vienna, Pilsner, Chocolate...

How do I brew the old fashioned way?

This is incredible! Thanks for all the input and links. Looks like I've got a lot of reading to do. I'd love to keep learning. Keep typing! Where can I find historical recipes? (I plan to try the one gallon medieval ale mentioned earlier in this thread)
