    Partial mash

Hello everyone. Because of all your help and great advice we have brewed many successful beers over the last year. Now we officially have the sickness! We want to enter into the all-grain world but start off with a partial mash. I would love any advice on equipment needs, books that are good...

My husband and I live on the east side and we really like it. We should get together and brew!

    Summer ale yeast

Ext, going to brew brewers best summer ale. Was a huge success next year after adding ginger and coriander. The kit comes with a dry yeast packet. Should I stick with that or can you suggest a liquid yeast to get. Having success with the yeast starter thus far and was thinking of doing that. I...

    Another question

My yeast starter is in the warmest room in the house at 69 degrees. This is Wisconsin. Do I need to cool the wort to 69 degrees before I pitch it?

    Thoughts?

Going thru directions for northern brewer nut brown ale kit that I'm brewing tonight. Says to ferment 2 weeks in primary, then bottle. Yeast starter is going. Does this seem like a long enough fermentation?

    Ok a few newbie questions

I'm not a big fan of Ted either. Would it be so terrible to go after a good free agent once in a while?!

    Another question about fermentation

What do you guys recommend? Primary vs. secondary? I know there are a million ways to skin a cat but I really don't want another failed batch.

    Another question about fermentation

Am planning on just using primary bucket and not racking it to a secondary. I've brewed 5 batches and have racked them all so this is new to me. Any advice would be so helpful. How long should I keep it in there before bottling? Do I need to add Irish moss to clarify it?

    Frustrated after 2 failed batches

OK, I'll try putting it in the basement where it's in the lower 60's. I'll pick up some star san.

    Frustrated after 2 failed batches

Brewing with extract kit. Got it at northern brewer store and they crushed fresh grains for me. Sanitize with the sanitizer from the homebrew store here in town. It's bulk so the name isn't on it. I mix one tablespoon with one gallon of water. I use bottled water for brewing. I think there...

    Frustrated after 2 failed batches

Pumpkin ale was just bad. Prob too soon to attempt that, it was batch four. Last one was a winter warmer ale kit from northern brewer. Did two weeks in primary and three in secondary. SG were right on, but ended up with a chemical taste. I think im super anal about sanitizing, so im not sure...

    Frustrated after 2 failed batches

OK. My last two batches were complete flops! Brewing a nut brown ale tomorrow. Doing a yeast starter for the first time, so any advice would be great. Also, want to leave in primary til bottling and not rack. First time for that as well. How long should I leave it in primary and should I add...

I am offended by your comment that Packer fans aren't very smart!

    Failed batch number 2

Thank you all for your advice. I'll give it more time to condition. If it's still not good I'll just use it for my beer brats!
