    Cider Contamination?

    My cider stinks and taste like vinegar and has some very foamy and large bubbles on the top when it ferments. Its almost like the kind of foam you see in a creek after it floods. The smell of it when I lifted the lid to siphon actually hurt my nose. Does that means shes contaiminated?

    Yeast Starter Dead?

    I pitched my yeast into a sanitized patron liquor bottle and then airlocked it last night at about 11:30 and then woke up and looked at it around 11:00 and it is not fermenting, however there is trub in the bottom.     7 Gal MLT

    Frozen Yeast

    I left my white labs yeast in the fridge overnight on accident and it is now frozen, will the yeast be killed by this or will it still be good to use?

    Cider Questions

    I have made beer and mead before but I have never tried cider. Do you have to boil it like you do everything else to kill off bacteria to an acceptable level? Is there any good sites to read up on making it? The reason I ask is I have been wanting to make a bulk batch of something and cider...
