    Thanks for the replies... I lost 1.5 gal of the first runnings. I ended up adding a cup of pale malt extract, so basically treating it as a mostly grain partial mash. I'll check the gravity once the boil is done and see how far off I am... <crossing fingers>

    LOL I know... I suggested reboiling then adding back in sugar/malt in some ratio and refermenting. It wouldn't be very alcoholic or very good, but it's hard to imagine it being worse than it is now (or worse than my other DMS-catastrophe batch that has sat for 18 mos and is still undrinkable)...
