    You could try plumbers putty with a large washer behind the putty. I have not tried this but I am a plumber and have been amazed at times how well the putty seals. hope you can save your cooler.

    boiling has been used in the medical industry for sterilizing. cooks also boil their jars for canning. We as homebrewers also boil water and jars to sterilize for yeast washing. Boiling is a effective method for sterilizing.

    pasteurization does not kill all micro organisms just reduces the numbers to make contamination less likely.

    Question on Ventilation for Indoor Electric Brewing

    I brew in my basement and just put the BK under a window with a box fan in it and I can watch the water vapor being pulled out by the fan. I think you should give it a try, if its not effective for you then I'd look for another more expensive solution.

    Would you rather watch Soccer or Baseball?

    baseball why would I want to invest hours watching a soccer game when ties occur 1/3 of the time. ties in my opinion is just a waste of my time, what was the point of even playing the game. Don't get me started on all the stupid flopping, there is more acting than playing in some soccer games.
