how much priming sugar per bottle?

Sorry I'm sure this is a stupid question but completely out of my realm of knowledge here. Only ever kegged beer. Not that I've done that much either. Must have had something come loose, my gas leaked. Wanted to check on my beer left in the keg, that's where the stupid comes in. Should have...

    need ideas for oatmeal.

Well we had a moth infestation. Decided to bomb the house and throw out any potential overrun food products. But my wife had a lot of oatmeal left over from a recent cookie baking session. No visable signs of moth tomfoolery in the oatmeal but playing it safe and getting rid of it...

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bfs/2580863305.html This guy has stainless steel kegs and a 50 gallon and 80 gallon tank I only wish I had the setup for. Going to go pick up two of the 15 gallon kegs tomorrow, hopefully :mug:

how long is starsan good for?

I am new to using Starsan. Yes I searched first, sad I feel the need to point that out. I mixed up some Starsan last night and wondering how long before it goes inert. This stuff is so cheap for what you get, but filled up my spray bottle and don't want to waste it just the same.

    harvest yeast from bottle?

I am drinking a Commercial Belgian White that comes with a bit of yeast settled in the bottom looking very much like any home brew I've ever seen. Has anyone ever been able to harvest yeast from a commercial brewery bottle before and how did you go about it? I'd love to experiment with it.

why no starter on dry yeast?

I have some dry yeast that I have had for a very long time. Not sure if it's still good or not. Everything I see is that dry yeast needs no starter and it can actually hurt. Is it absolutely forbidden? Don't want to throw it in if it's bunk but don't want to buy a new packet if I can test it...

    Is this a good deal?

http://www.kegcowboy.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=138 Want to make a keggerator with two varieties of beer on tap. Found this kit after much searching but not sure if it's the best I can do. I like that it comes with everything but if I can get the kegs separate from...

    sparge arm?

Want to make a sparge arm for my gravity system I am putting together. Found an old all metal sprinker head which should be perfect (didn't trust a shower head with 160-170 degree water). Not sure where to get the parts to build a arm that would work. Want something I can connect to the...

    point of various yeasts?

Forgive my ignorance, but is there really a point to the seamingly hundreds of yeast strains? Isn't one per beer type enough, with perhaps a variation for high alcohol content or normal? I would like to keep a few yeast strains that are as flexible as possible so I don't have to keep track...

    yeast starter?

Sorry I've spent just under 30 mins looking through posts trying to figure this out, so I do apologize if this has been asking many times before. Also, sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm painfully new to brewing. What exactly do you do to make the cheapest/most productive possible...

    why igloo for mash tun?

See tons of people with Igloo as the brand for their mash tun. I am looking at a 50 quart Coleman for 30 bucks that looks appealing since it advertises the ability to supposed keep ice for five days in 90 degree weather...figure it'll be good for keeping heat in too. Something about the...

    breeding yeast?

Hello folks, First off, my apologies if this has been asked before. I searched for an answer and after a long search could not locate the answer. I was wondering if there was a way to breed yeast efficiently at home. I have seen videos concerning washing yeast and saving for another...
