I have 2 of these and they work great. Just plug it into the wall and then plug the kegerator right into it.

I feel like I have a similar issue, if this is even considered an issue. The head just seems to kind of clump together, it's not really a huge deal but it just seems odd to me. Did you use headwaters yeast?
I recently switched my beer lines to around 8.5ft (I would have gotten 10 but the websites wording made it sound like 8 was the max they could cut) and I get a great pour. Most people go with 10 to avoid having to tinker around with finding the right length. I'm pretty sure there's a calculator...
By weird I really just mean interesting because I think this hops are all very interesting on their own so I would like to brew a big ipa using many of them together I just can't decide which ones and the best hopping schedule to use to make them work well together. Thank you for the input on...
So I just placed an order with enough grains to brew two beers and a ton of hops, the first beer I'm brewing is a single hop Nelson Sauvin IPA then I was planning on making a double IPA and pitching it onto the yeast cake of the first beer (from what I've read on this forum this is ok). As far...
brew day went really well. I used Midwest's Headwaters Ale yeast though which apparently ferments very actively on the top and takes a very long time to drop out so when it came time to dry hop (based on my usual schedule of about a 10 day primary) there was still a lot of krausen at the top. I...
How did this kit turn out? I plan on brewing it tomorrow and I was thinking about dry hopping it with .5oz of Amarillo I have laying around, any thoughts?
FYI Midwest Supplies is having a sale on giftcards until the 25th. You can get a $110 giftcard for $100, I bought 3 of them to help pay for the kegging system I'm planning on buying.
I havn't used whole hops yet so i wouldn't know for sure but i have read posts on other threads that said the bazooka screen works well with whole hops.
I use a bazooka screen and i also put my hops in a large tea infuser that i found on amazon

With my penrose kettle it isn't a perfect circle, there are some points where the inner diameter is 15.25'' and others where it is 15.8''. Not sure if this would be a huge issue but i thought it'd be helpful to know. I was thinking about getting a false bottom for mine when i was first looking...
Does anybody have any experience with either one of these pots, I've heard mixed reviews on the Bayou Classic but how does it compare to the Winware. Here are links of the pots I'm looking at:

I found one that is much closer to the diameter of the kettle, are these measurements close enough. Thank you for all the replies.
