    Bottling first lager

Cool so do I just bottle as usual. Also after I bottle do I just leave the bottles out like any other beer that I've brewed. So it will bring the temp back up to about 63

    Bottling first lager

Hey so I was curious what to do a out bottling my first lager. It been at 35 for 4 weeks and at 6 weeks I plan to bottle but I've been told that after lagering it can cause u to lose your yeast and not allow carbonation. I've heard that you can add yeast or should I just say forget it and keg

    Bottling a lager

So I was curious about what to do when it's time to start bottling my first lager. Its been at 35 for 4 weeks and I'm going to bottle at 6 weeks. Will there be enough yeast to carbonate my beer. I've heard that because of the temp many times you cannot get the yeast to carbonate so you can add...

    First lager

Cool. Ya I had already had the beer fermenting at about 45 and then racked it off the trub into secondary to begin my lager at 35. Then about a week later I started getting these white patches of bubbles. Looks like the batch is doing well then. Thanks

    First lager

So I've been lagering my first oktoberfest beer and I've noticed clusters of white bubbles forming on the top of my beer. Is this something I should be concerned about. Again they seem to be just white bubbles. There are no hairs or should I say it doesnt look like a mold. I've never lagered a...

    My first Stout

So I finished awhile back sorry to take forever. I like it. I'm not a big fan of stouts and this is one I like it has a strong coffee/roasted barely taste. Wish I wouldn't have added water later in the secondary fermentation but overall a success on my first stout super stoked thanks for the...

    Taking Og

So I've been takin my OG after the boil after the wort has cooled and I'm pouring the wort into my Carboy before pitching the yeast. First question should I put in half my extract and then the other half after the boil and let that stand 10 min to pasteurize. Second if I do that do I take a...

    My first Stout

Ya thank I set it in a slightly warmer area it's at 67 degrees but I'll put it back a little colder sounds like if I have it around 65 it will be good. This sounds kinda embarrassing but I used a yellow packet of yeast and can't remember what kind it was. Whoops I usually use white labs and the...

    My first Stout

So I have brewed a few times and since have adapted a taste for heavier beers. I am trying a stout and was wondering what a good temp for fermenting was. Also I have had it at about 63 degrees which worries me because I think that might be too low. I just raised the temp but have had it for...
