    Airlock blew off

Had an airlock blow out right before I left for spring break last year, I put it back in and when I came back it was blown out again, so it sat for a good week open. It was also a good beer! Leave it alone

    non food grade bottling bucket

I looked at the manufacturer for the cheap $2 buckets from farm n fleet, turns out almost all their buckets were food grade accept the ones made from recycled plastic. Check the manufacturers website, though if its the orange ones from home depot I can tell you those are NOT food grade. I duck...

Different kinds of Fermcap-S Foam Control??

I also use the NB and also use half as directed, just because half seems to work fine usually. I wait until the hot break starts to add a drop then I add one or two when fermentation starts. It seems to work best when there is already foam on top.

    Me and PBR

PBR is probably my favorite beer. I say this because I can ALWAYS drink pbr. Hot days, cold days, nights, mornings (music festivals). It even tastes good when its skunked. Buffalo Wild Wings

I loved this commercial! Just shows you how popular homebrewing is getting. Everyone knows someone who brews, it is a timely joke. I really don't think they were trying to offend anyone or bash homebrewing.... its just a commercial about football and chicken wings. =)

Bottling , by now you would think there is a better way

Once every 2 days or so I rinse and shake all my used bottles with water and put em to the right of the sink, then dump the last few drops of water out the next time I do it and throw em i n boxes. Only takes a couple secs, I never wash bottles with cleaners, and I never get mold. A quick 4...

2 lbs of caramel malt in 5.5 gal recipe...

I just tried my first bottle. Surprisingly it tastes pretty light and dry, I am wondering if I did a poor steep but I can't imagine how I could fail a steep... maybe I didn't do it for long enough? I expected it to be sweeter. Either way it is good for being a bit premature (bottled 6 days...
