    I've always used bleach to sterilize my bottles but would like to switch to idophor. Does it require a rinse after soaking? My old technique was to soak bottles in a bucket of bleach water for 2 min. rinse and put on bottle tree. If I can skip the rinse it might make bottling a bit more...

    Grain shelf life?

    Is there a shelf life for crushed grain? I'm going to have 3/4 of a lb of Weyermann smoked malt left over from this comming weekends brewing session. If its sealed up tight how long will it stay "good"? If its a short time, anybody got any good extract recipes that call for it:) Thanks

    I'm about to brew a smoked maple amber ale useing maple sap for water, 6 lbs DME, 1 lb of crystal malt, and a1/4 lb of German smoked malt.
