    Krausen Disturbed

I have had a SN Pale Ale Clone brewing for a week and a half. I was forced to move my fridge and the krausen was mixed into the brew. Will I have any off tastes in the brew? Will it now be extremley bitter?

First beer may still be green.

Update. So I tried this beer again last week after letting it sit for three more weeks. Everyone is correct time is your friend. The "off taste" is gone and the beer pours a good head. Sorry no pic. But I have found that I do not like this beer. Since I have made this I have been trying new...

Saison Nelson Sauvin Dry Hopped Saison

I could also do a partial mass, if someone would convert it. It will be a few months before I could brew it though, since I have 3 others in front of it. Thanks

First beer may still be green.

So I picked up a 6 pack of rouge dead guy ale, and its great. :mug: Thanks for the suggestion Revvy. At $10.50 for a 6-pack though its the highest price I have paid for store bought beer, so I probably wont buy it again. (or at least not very often) Thats why I looked in the receipe database...

    Dedicated Lagering Fridge?

Looks like I will be slowly adding equipment as I find deals, and work my way up to different setups. First thing I have to do is make a good beer, as I am still waiting for my first ale extract to condition. I have a pipeline going now, so hopefully this is the only time I will have to wait...

    Dedicated Lagering Fridge?

Thanks for the views into your routine. At the moment I only have a mini-fridge that will hold one fermenter at a time, that is why I am researching what type setup and routine I want to have in the future. At the moment I am using Tap a Drafts, no kegs yet.

    Dedicated Lagering Fridge?

So I have only brewed two homebrews, and I am reading how to lager. After primary fermentation of a lager, I have read that you "lager" the lager by dropping the temp into the 30's. So to keep a pipeline going, do you have a dedicated fridge to lager? Which would mean for some people 3 fridges...

    SteamRunner Saison

Did you use seedless grapes, or seeded grapes? Would it make a difference with tannin levels? What exactly is a puree? Is it blended to almost a mush, or is it just a few spins with the blender to break open the grapes?

    Kölsch Black Widow Kolsch

What is gained by lagering at 34F for a month? I am a newbie, but my current understanding is that the yeast will not be active at that low of a temp. So isint this the same thing as cold crashing?

First beer may still be green.

I have already bought a digital temperature controller for my mini-fridge, and I just put my second homebrew in it. I also just posted a question about it. Thanks for all the help. I guess I will wait and try my beer in about 3 weeks and see if it is better. If not I will wait longer. So...

    2nd Homebrew Cologne Kolsch Temps

So this is my second homebrew and it is the extract from Midwest. Brewed it Sunday, and I have it in the fridge at 60F. I have been reading about how to handle this beer after the primary. It seems that after the primary, it should be lagered for around 4 weeks. I have never done a lager, so...

Saison Nelson Sauvin Dry Hopped Saison

Will someone convert this into an extract w/ steeped specialty grains(if needed) for me. This sounds really good, but It be awile before I can buy the equipment I need for all-grain. Thanks in-advance.

    Priming a Tap-A-Draft

I forgot to ask if they use co2 cartridges? Are they the same 16oz cartridges that the newer TAD taps use?

    Priming a Tap-A-Draft

Thanks for the tip. You can't beat $17 for a tap. They are $30 for the tap alone at midwest.

Not a coffee person, but i am sure I will be able to figure it out after I get a few more extracts w/ steeped grains under my belt.

First beer may still be green.

I checked out your my bock receipe and I saw the words "partial mash". When I am ready to move up, this may be the first receipe I try. I would still like to try a maibock first to make sure I like the style.

First beer may still be green.

So out of the fridge for at least another week and half. Its going to be tough waiting. I guess I will have to go try some more micro beers to expand my beer world while I am waiting. I have been looking to find a bock style beer at my box stores, but I can't find any. Is there any that may be...

First beer may still be green.

So I bottled my first homebrew in tap a draft bottles a week and half ago. One of the bottles seemed to be carbed since I was not able to push in the sides of the bottle, so I decided to tap it and try it out. After trying it, it seems like a good light beer but there is slight aftertaste that...
