    SMaSH Recipe, Using CTZ, or NB Hops.

    B3 - Pliney the Elder kit question...

    I'm getting ready to do this one in a few minutes. My question is this, it came with 8oz. of Maltodextrin, and 1lb. of corn sugar. They are listed with the Malt Extract Additions. Do I just add them in when I add my malt??? Hope that make some sense... :drunk: Thanks all!!! :mug:

    Hop Bag question...

    I just kegged my DFH 90min. IPA Clone. Now my question is this... What is the easiest way to get the hop bag out of my secondary!?!? I have no idea why I even used the bag, but I did!!! The bag has 2oz. of whole leaf hops in it!!! Thanks all for the help!!! :mug:

    Dogfish Head 90min. IPA question...

    I just brewed this today! I used the recipe out of BYO. In the directions it says this, "Start fermentation at 71 F and let raise to 74 F. Dry Hopp in Secondary at 71 F for 3-5 days, then cool to 32 F." I don't have a way of cooling to 32 in the secondary... Could I just transfer to 5 gal...

    Chipotle question...

    I'm getting ready to rack my Chipotle Blonde Ale to secondary. The only chipotles I could find where the ones in the can with Adobo sauce. Any tips on what I should do to these before adding them to secondary? I also picked up some red and green jalepenos. Any advice for those as well...

    Well... I finally had a "mishap"!!! :drunk: Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT leave your thermometer bouncing around in the hot water while steeping grains!!! It WILL break!!! Luckily, I had some extra grains lying around and can continue on with my session!!! That is all! :mug:

    Siphon Starter Help...

    Ok... I might just be a dumb-ass, but is there a trick to it? When I blow into the white filter part... nothing! I took the filter off, and blew into it, and no air passes through?!?! I know... Damn newb!!! Thanks guys nad gals!!! :mug:
