Enough grains/sugar for Pale Ale kit?

I added another ouch of DME. Must have not needed it cause my OG was 1.050 and was projected at 1.045 by the kit. I didn't end up adding the first gold and added 2 oz of cascade throughout the boil. I'll probably dry hop with centennial. Thanks again for the help!

Enough grains/sugar for Pale Ale kit?

I got a pale ale kit which came with 2lb of DME, 6 oz of crushed crystal, and 3.3lb of light hopped LME. It only came with 1 oz of UK First Gold. I am planning on adding some centennial(1 oz)to the boil and dry hop with casscade(2 oz) as well. Will I need to pick up more grains or ME?

    Belgian Tripel w/ spice?

Well I use my other hydrometer and it read 1.025 and the target was 1.020. Not bad I guess. It smells amazing. I boiled two cinnamon sticks in with the priming sugar. I guess well see how it goes.

    Belgian Tripel w/ spice?

So I have all bottles sanitized and everything ready... I check the FG and it's 1.30. It is still pretty high but it hasn't moved since last time I checked it a few days ago. Think I'd be dancing with the devil if I bottled?

    Priming Sugar Amount?

Just thought I would add on instead of starting a new thread. I'm about to bottle my Belgian Tripel I've had in primary for 2 1/2 weeks. I am going to use table sugar for the first time for priming and can't figure out how much to use for 5 gallons. I plugged in the into that calculator but the...

    Belgian Tripel w/ spice?

So about sanitizing what I put in the fermenter... Any options? I tried the soaking orange zest in vodka on a previous batch and it turned out awful. Other recommendations? I'm thinking about throwing some nutmeg and cinnamon in. Should I get whole cinnamon? I'm guessing no powder. Sorry, I'm...

    Belgian Tripel w/ spice?

Unfortunately my LHBS was out of the Belgian yeast so I just used a couple of the normal ale yeast packets. Maybe I'll add some spice to fermenter in a few days.

First all grain brew: Brown Porter

Curious to find out how this one tasted. I about to go all grain and wanted to start with a similar porter.

    Belgian Tripel w/ spice?

This will be my first time adding spices to a brew. Do I just boil them to sanitize then throw them in a bag and into the fermenter?

    Cheapest 5 Gal All-Grain system

Thanks for the input guys. I don't mind paying the money I just want to find the best deal. Brew in a bag is out of the question. Maybe I'll just do the Northern Brewer kit.

    Cheapest 5 Gal All-Grain system

Im looking for a good cheap all grain system. I know Northern Brew has a system for around $200. I COULD make one but I don't wanna screw it up.

I always use a blow off tube never a airlock...thats ok right?

I just used a blow off for the first time and don't think I'll switch back to the air lock. I feel like its a safer bet.

Looking for a good name for labels

Im looking for a name for my brew so I can get a logo and labels made. I WAS thinking Redhead Brew after my redheaded son but turns out that is already taken. So I was thinking Ginger Top or Ginger Cap Brew. Something along those lines. Any ideas?
