Hop suggestions for this malt bill

I would think that you would want he hops to be more subtle in order to allow those flavors to come out of the malt. Truthfully, IMO, IPA might not be what you want to be shooting for but since you are I would suggest looking into warrior hops or maybe northern brewer or a combination thereof...

    Substituting wheat for two row?

Right now what I'm looking at doing is a bitter. I have read so many times that people use a portion of wheat, often around 6%, sometimes as high as 10%, and it got me wondering what it would taste like if I were to further ramp up that percentage. I wan to play with the numbers a little more...

    Substituting wheat for two row?

Our local club doing a bunch of brews for an event to feature wheat. At first my brewing partner and I weren't too interested in brewing for the event as we know that basically it is going to be the usual suspects that appear as far as styles. So we got to talking and thought that if we wanted...

    Batch sparge temp calc help?

Yeah, I know it's not really needed but as part of my anally retentive nature it makes me feel like i'm doing a better job. I just figured that someone here may be able to point me to something like this.

    Batch sparge temp calc help?

I have found with my system that I get the best and most consistent results when I do a double batch sparge. My issue is that I want to be more consistent with hitting temps in the 165-170F range when I sparge rather than having the first sparge get me 3/4 of the way there and the second getting...

    Sulfurweizen

I am having this same issue with the 380. I pitched at 58F, let it free rise to about 65 and held it there during peak fermentation then it dropped like a rock to 62. I put my temp controler on it and allowed it to do its thing raising 1 degree every to up to 66F. I now have a great beer...

Good question, they were supposed to get to it yesterday but didn't, I don't know if they got to it today. It sailed through senate and just need to get through the assembly.I don't see where it would be a problem.

We made it through the Senate! We made it through the Senate! Our voice was heard and the wackbot amendment was removed, the only member that voted nay was the offer of said amendment. ...Next!

    New homebrew laws in Wisconsin

The bill as currently posted here, http://legis.wisconsin.gov/insession/senate/index.htm seems okay as the provisinos for limiting the number of homebrew events is not on it. We will have to wait and see I guess.

How much beer do you drink daily?

This should be a poll with the same question where you give two answers, one for week nights and one for weekends.

Problems fermenting out a garbage brew

I brewed a garbage brew in the style of a cascadian IPA two weeks ago and I'm having problems getting it to ferment out. I developed a PM garbage recipe with 6-1/2# of various grains (about half of which I had sitting around) mashed at 154 for 60 min, and 6# dark DME in the boil that I had had...
