    Help: Keg mold emergency!

When I opened my kegerator today, I saw mold growing inside the kegerator and on the kegs! I had a spill a couple months back but I cleaned everything out with 409 and then bleach, so I'm not sure where the mold has come from. My question is what steps should I take now? I have four...

    EMERGENCY: Keg carbing

I was able to get the beer to a drinkable, though not ideal, state in time. I have struggled with my poppets more than seems appropriate when cleaning and assembling. I'll have to look into that.

    EMERGENCY: Keg carbing

If I do this, do I depressurize and then repressure to 20 again? Or do you mean just to reroll every 12 hours?

    EMERGENCY: Keg carbing

It's a friend's birthday party. I'd have to cancel supplying the homebrew. :( 6 foot lines. picnic taps. It does not shoot out like a fire hose. If I shot the tap straight up, it would probably go an inch or two before falling back down.

    EMERGENCY: Keg carbing

I have a keezer setup with a 10 lb. CO2 tank, a dual gauge regulator with 4 lines, and 4 pin lock kegs. The CO2 tank is about half full. Has anyone mentioned Crushinator Dopplebock? The "ator" ending is perfect. I might actually make that.

How close did you get to your target FG? In general, I would never recommend under 6 weeks.

Adding yeast after several weeks of brewing

I can see all sorts of problems that might occur from brewing for several weeks straight. I suggest you take it off the heat and let it start fermenting.

Do lagered beers still need bottle conditioning?

I've never experienced what you are talking about, but I HAVE had a lager taste yeasty after 3 weeks of bottle conditioning. I would agree with kgg that the yeast may need to clean up. Alternatively, you could try giving them a week in the fridge as cold as you can... see if you can knock the...

Has anyone collected a list of HBT's favorite mead recipes? I know I can search here and the recipe forum, but I'm wondering if anyone has put together the best of the best anywhere... Thanks.
