A spead, price, and tast echallenge

I second Koed. Ed Wort has a good recipe. I brewed this batch 12 days ago. 7 days primary. 3 Secondary. 2 in the keg. Not an award winning beer but it cost under $20 to brew (had my own yeast) and is drinkable. If you have a couple more weeks you could have a much better beer. Search under...

    Breckenridge vanilla porter

I did some looking and it is not available in Austin or any of the surrounding towns (that I am aware of). The bottled version was really good though. If/When I make it up to Colorado, I'll definitely have to try it on tap!

    Breckenridge vanilla porter

Thanks Kite. The insight is golden. I agree that breweries list hop additions that may be negligible to the homebrewer and may be misleading. This is why I tend to rely more on homebrewer experience. I'm going to give your recipe a go round. Probably on a 5 gal scale to test. I'd like to add...

I would expect a small addition of vanilla beans as well as a 3-4...

    Wild Experiment Thread

I would love to hear how this turns out should you decide to brew a batch. I've had similar foods that gave a numbing experience in the mouth and have wondered how it would carry over in a beer. Betel nuts are what I had in mind.

The message was from nilo but I'm pretty sure the 167 was supposed to be 67.

    Brew Logic vs Standard

I've been using the BrewLogic dual tap system for about a year now. I tightened all the connections when I got. One of the kegs was kind of ugly and beaten but it is functionally sound. I have to say its the best bang for your buck
