    best northern brewer ipa?

i've been a big fan of the northernbrewer IPAs.. here's my ranking 1. Dear Ringer IPA is my favorite, although i'm worried it will make me an alcoholic because it tastes awesome and the ABV is around 7%. The great taste mean I can't stop at one. And the high ABV results in me texting my...

Dry Hopped using Pellets -> Greenish Color

I've dry hopped a number of times in the primary with pellets using similar time frames as you and never had a problem. Two things i do differently is cold crash and use gelatin to get everything to settle into the trub prior to kegging. My beers have always been clear and well colored.

    Airlocks... What else?

Are you putting water or vodka in your airlocks? I wouldn't think there would be any issue with ants or fruit flies with vodka. unless they are Russian.

First screw up... boy.. with pic

I'm a beginner with 10 batches under my belt. Today i had my first disaster. After brewing for a few hours..I went to lower my carboy into my swamp cooler and "CRASH"!!!!! I must not have been gentle enough while lowering and the whole thing shattered. :( I'm pretty bummed out about...

    Kegging my beer ???

I put the keg in the kegerator at 30PSI for 36 hours.. no shaking... hooked up to the gas with it on. After that i purge, and bring it down to 12psi. It's drinkable after three days, but i try not to hook it up to a tap (too tempting to start drinking) and after a week it isgood.. and after...

Star-San Leaking in a 2.5 gallon water container?

It was an HDPE 2 container. It was just 2.5 gallon of purified water purchased at Target. I dumped in 1/2 oz of star-san. I looked at the container and counted four leaks on the bottom.
