Mini-fridge... What the heck did I buy?

Yes, what you describe is a peltier. I built a fermentation chamber using one of these. Doesn't work too well. To be honest, you're going to have a really hard time getting a space large enought for multiple kegs down to serving temp with one of these. On the positive side, they're very easy...

Anyone use a double-burner fry cart as a brewstand?

Outdoor Gourmet Double-Burner Fry Cart. I can pick one up right now for $100 at Academy Sports. I had been thinking about welding a 3-tier gravity-fed tower, but I'm a little concerned about how tall it would need to be (especially considering my shabby welding skills; I don't need a propane...

what is the most "water conserving" method of cooling wort quickly?

Just because people here in Houston ARE watering and washing cars as usual, doesn't mean they SHOULD be. We are currently under level 2 water restrictions, meaning no one should be watering their lawns more than twice a week, or after 3am. Water levels in Lake Houston are so low it's impacting...

    Propane burners at Academy?

I recently bought the one with the 4 angle-iron legs, and have been really pleased. Brewed 4 or 5 times with it so far. Granted it's the only propane burner I've used for brewing (was using electric stovetop before!). I have a 15 gal stainless kettle that I do full boils for 5 gal batches...

Anyone Brewed Punkin Porter Recipe (Extreme Brewing)

Anyone brew this recently that cares to comment on how it turned out? I'd like to do an all-grain version, but I'm not so sure how to deal with the different extracts. I think the original version from the book called for 3.3 lbs Light Liquid extract, 3lbs Amber Dry Extract, and 1lb Dark Dry...
