    Can you double a recipe?

    I have a 5 gal. recipe that I want to make into a 10 gal. recipe. Can I simply double it or will I need to make a few adjustments to make it work? Thank you for your help, Scott

    how long does liquid yeast last with out refrigeration?

    When I returned from the brew shop yesterday I had so much going on that I forgot to pop my white labs yeast vial back into the fridge. I just remembered it more than 24hrs. later. Does anyone know how this will effect the yeast? Thanks

    Mash temp. was way to high

    I brewed an IPA today and the mash temp. got out of hand. I doughed in and hit my target steep temp. of 150, I watched for 5 min. to make sure the temp. was leveled out. I went upstairs and ate lunch, when I returned the temp had risen to almost 170. I stirred it up in hopes of dropping the...
