first pour good carbonation, second not

Ah, I wondered what that bite was (I assume its that)! My earlier brews didn't have it even after the short while in there. My biggest problem is everyone and their grandma wants try my brew and its gone in no time. That sounds like a great setup you have, I started this time last year and only...

first pour good carbonation, second not

The answer to this is probably wait longer but I just want to see opinions. I have a pumpkin beer set and forget method going for 6 days now. I pour the first beer and have some nice bubbles on the bottom and sides of glass and a nice head, the second pour I have a good head but absolutely no...

    Temp question - johnson digital

:) it's my first time kegging so a little paranoid, I know haha. The fridge is probably 14-15 yrs old so imagine it's about time for that chest freezer I've had my eye on. The compressor stopped working for a bit last night so even more reason. First time running this particular fridge also...

    Temp question - johnson digital

I thought about the water and came to the conclusion that the water in the cup will cool and heat up much faster than the kegs will so I guess it wouldn't really be an accurate representation of the beer temp, correct me if I'm wrong. I understand the water will slow down compressor cycling so...

    Temp question - johnson digital

I am starting to get frustrated with this fridge....anyway I have a Johnson controls digital controller and I have the probe taped to the side of the keg at 36degrees carbing. Whenever I open the fridge door, the control shows like 46ish in no time and then the compressor kicks on and runs for...

    Carb question

So, it has almost been 3 months actually since I bottled this beer....I have inverted the bottles, let them sit, pretty much done everything I can think of that has been suggested and they are still flat.... i know for a fact i used the right amount of corn sugar, so I would assume i didn't get...

    6 weeks no carbonation

A suicide, I kind of like that idea! Perhaps though, if the worst happens, I may make the dramatic move and try to pour them into a keg to force carb. That is though once I get some replacement parts for my kegs. I may have been unlucky in my kegs from kegconnection but one keg has a sticky...

    6 weeks no carbonation

Nope OG was 1.040 and finished around 1.011, probably somewhere in the 3.9% range. I will follow Yooper's advice and let them sit longer, I have them sitting in a closet in my computer room, the computers do a nice job of warming the room up a little :)

    6 weeks no carbonation

There is sediment, and they are pry-off bottles. I would say there is no carbonation as I have no bubbles rising. I stuck one in the fridge and am going to let it sit for a week or two before trying again. I'll invert the others a few times and let them sit a few more weeks. Glad I've got my...

    6 weeks no carbonation

It tastes like good fermented beer. I checked each bottle individually to make sure they weren't leaking and had a good seal. I have used the capper before and have never had any issues, yet I was bottle priming.

    6 weeks no carbonation

I sure did, I let it cool off quite a bit before putting it in the bucket. McGarnigle - It was definitely corn sugar, and you are correct it is very flat on the tongue. After I poured the glass I looked into it and had no bubbles rising from the bottom.

    6 weeks no carbonation

I brewed a cream ale a few months ago from NB, I bottled it about 6 weeks ago - maybe a little longer than that, and I have no carbonation. I fermented at 64 and it was in the primary a total of 4 weeks before bottling. This was my first time batch priming and used the standard 2/3 cup of corn...

Type A post on Cornelius Keg?

Just got a 7/8 and 11/16 combo wrenches, all is good

Type A post on Cornelius Keg?

I just got two used kegs and both have the Cornelius company on the outside of them. One of the kegs has both a type B post for the in and the out, however the other keg has a Type A post for the out and what appears to be a type A with a 12 point shape on the in port. It seems something is...

    How to correctly use regulator?

See, that's what I was thinking, however when i turn the screw back to lower the pressure, it maybe only drops a few PSI based on the gauge, I can turn the screw all the way loose and the dial just sits there. Do my steps work then on connecting the gas?

    How to correctly use regulator?

I'm afraid I don't understand how to work my dual body regulator I just got and I'm afraid I'm going to blow through the co2 tank before I get it figured out so I figured I would just ask. The kegconnection sheet I got said to make sure the regulator adjusting screws were turned fully counter...

    Regulator cardboard/paper bent

Will do, understand the gauge is pretty much useless, but why not use it if I have it.
