Banana and Strawberries in American Pale Ale

Yeah, I agree, if you want a banana flavor with/complimenting your berries, use a hefe yeast perhaps... Do a little searching and see what you can Find. Should give you a good banana like flavor

20 gallon electric build (with CAD)

I agree. Unless you have it designed with the tiering system because of space limitation, I would make it a single tier design. As for the structural angle, I would think 1.5 x 1.5 should be fine if you do a single tier style with upright supports in the center as well as the outside perimeter...

Mux - I actually recently bottled a 2row/FF7'cs SMaSH. Has about another week of coditioning left. I would have to agree with others though... Oxidation. How does it taste?

    Doomsday preppers anyone???

+1 Bigrediowan. AR-15 and my sig. Anyone who thinks not owning a gun, if something were to happen of that nature, is only fooling themselves.

    Brewing Smaller batches

I've done 2.5 gallon batches in a regular 5 gal. fermenting bucket with no problems. As for the yeast, to be honest, I don't really think pitching the regular 5 gallon portion in a 2 gallon batch would hurt anything. You can over-pitch, but I think that would take much more than what you are...

100A residential service with 2x5500W at same time

Yeah, I believe that a safe, recommended use is 80% capacity, and if you put in a 60A breaker you should be more than fine. With both running you will be drawing roughly 46A of current, so as long as you aren't running the dryer and other high current requiring equipment, I think it would be fine.

    Electric 1.5 BBL Upgrade

Awesome job so far man! This is exactly the same direction a buddy and I are going. We are using two 4500W camco's in both the HLT and BK; I am hoping that these work out alright.

Help me brew an 'Alaskan' beer in 9 days

Best I've ever been able to do was a wheat beer that was about 10 days... Let it ferment out for three, secondary for five days, and then kegged at 30 psi for 24hr and then brought back down to serving pressure for the last day. Turned out pretty good but of course everyone thought it was...

    Critique my IPA

I ran them in beer calculus and it's giving me 40 IBU's based on the 5 gallon batch/ 3 gallon boil.

    Hops Transplanting question

I was thinking the same thing. I really have nothing to lose by using the already one year aged roots. My thoughts are to maybe transplant them this weekend before the ground really starts to freeze (I am in the central PA area and it has been very warm up until the last day or two). I should...

    Hops Transplanting question

I planted some hops last year and like expected from the first year, only had bine growth; no real cone output. I am wondering now that I have moved to a new house, is it worth transplanting the existing hops (are they well rooted to this point) to my new house or just start fresh? Cheers, Cory

    Wit Blu Moon

I made a Belgian Wit with Willamette and saaz, but I really want to try another with some candi sugar and also white labs belgian wit yeast; I used Safale S-04 in my first try. I am hoping this will come out a little bit more smooth then my first try with the liquid yeast the second time around.

    Sweet Stout Deception Cream Stout

I brewed this about a month ago and kegged it a few days ago... It came out awesome! Thanks for the recipe; this will be one that I will have to brew again (and again)
