I wired mine into a box with two separate switches (one for each pump) in them, then I also wired in a cord that I cut on one end and left the plug on the other end so I could power both switches with one power feed. Just make sure your cord is correctly sized to handle the current that your...
Saccharomyces,
I just brewed your recipe on Friday. I was able to brew 10 gallons in the 48 qt mash tun. I think 10 gallons is the max for that mash tun tho. The color came out nice, a little brown but I think it'll convert nicely. We'll see, as long as it tastes good! I'm looking forward to...
How much water do you use for your first mash in? How much water for your rinse? I might be able to get the 48 qt to work for 10 gallons.
Thanks for your help...and of course the recipe!
I've bought stuff from both www.Brewhardware.com and www.weldlessfittings.com I found that www.brewhardware.com had better pricing on most stuff, but doesn't offer the stainless steel valve.
Yes buy at least two packs...There are 50 bolts, 50 washers, and 50 nuts. I would almost recommending buy a third for any extra brasing, mounts, etc. I ran out of washers, because I was doubling up on them (one on each side).
You stand is looking good. Mine looks very similar, except I went with the 70,000 but burners instead.
Your wiring looks good too. I was trying to see if you ran a ground wire to your stand as well. With all electrical and water in the same area, I would definitely recommend connecting the...
It sounds like you wouldn't get full use of your burners with that hose...I also wanted to note that I think those flexible hoses are for equipment that is not meant to be moved around like a home brew system is. I would stick to the hose connections that are for BBQ grills. You can buy these at...
Maybe. They be lowered easily. Just slapped it together. I'll probably do that to be safe. I also have a mash tun made from a plastic cooler. I was thinking of adding a second tier that can be removed easily once I convert to a keg typ mash tun.
Thanks.
I'd like to know how the paint holds up after a couple of brewing sessions. If it works, I'll be painting as well.
Nice brew system. Mines almost complete. Getting ready to mount the burners I got from agriculture supply....70,000 btu.
Hey Strongbad52,
I saw your pictures and noticed you had silicon tubing. Where did you get your tubing from? I'm assuming it's not reinforced tubing by the looks of it.
Thanks.
