    Gaming Computer Build

He's only 13, so he doesn't have the video and audio files (and may never). I already have a 1tb external I use for backing up stuff, i guess I could let him use this or buy another one should he reach that point.

    Gaming Computer Build

Lots of great advice! Thank you all. I decided to bump up to a 250GB SSD and a GTX 960 4GB video card, and downsize memory to 2x4GB. I left the PSU and fan as I had originally. I don't think overclocking is in our immediate future. And picked up a 24" Dell monitor for $100. This pushes me...

    Gaming Computer Build

Thanks. I think you're spot on from what I've been reading. About how many games can fit on a 250GB?

    Gaming Computer Build

I've decided to help my 13yo son build a desktop computer as a Christmas gift. He wants one for gaming and for schoolwork. I know enough to be dangerous, but I think it would be a good experience for him. My brother has built one and will be helping on the build. I'm sure there must be...

Can I get some feedback on a RIMS Build?

Thanks! That's one of those things that's good to know. I don't think that would impact anything, just would have to let the pump run a bit before switching it over to drain the MT.

Can I get some feedback on a RIMS Build?

I've been brewing a few years now with the old turkey fryer and a 10 gal Igloo cooler mash tun and enjoy myself immensely and have made some great brews. I only do 5 gal batches and have no desire to go to 10. I would continue along doing it this way, but there's a couple things lately that...

Struggling every time I hook up keg to CO2

Definitely something up. I finally coaxed it to 10, after a few beer showers. I'll have to look into disassembling and cleaning and checking the diaphragm. Hopefully that's an easy task. Thanks all

Struggling every time I hook up keg to CO2

I've been through this every time I keg, so I'm putting it out there since it's driving me nuts...I hook up the picnic tap and the gas line. But when I turn on the gas the pressure immediately shoots to 50-60 and literally forces beer out the CLOSED picnic tap. I try releasing the pressure...

    Clogged pipeline

I've been at this for going on five years now, and today was rooting through my basement stash and was surprised to see I have 5-6 cases of homebrew sitting about, encompassing about 8 different batches going back to 2011. Some I have been deliberately cellaring. Some were just beers that...

    Replacing regulator knob

My regulator knob broke (a plastic knob....really????), so I buy a steel hose bib replacement, but can't for the life of me depress the spring enough to thread the nut on. Do I need this spring? Am I screwed and need a new regulator? Is there somewhere I can have it fixed? I really wish...

Muddy Creek Brewing Co. Brewery Build- Start to Finish Thread

Hopefully you won't need a water meter and vault for the sprinkler system. Those babies can get pricey. As an architect, I've seen many owners faces drop when they find out they're gonna need a sprinkler system and what it's gonna cost them to put it in. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Zombie Dust

Looking for Zombie Dust. I have a friend willing to score me a case. But she (and I) don't know where to find it. She actually lives only 10 miles from the brewery but it appears they only offer it on draft. Can anyone local enlighten me where I can direct her close to where she lives (Homewood)?

    Call Of Duty

I like having a beer and playing my 12yo who wastes me every single darn time. Watched him play online the other day and he was complaining about "campers": people that find a safe spot and camp out waiting for you just to pick you off. Get enough of them in one game and that is no fun.

Dumping bad beer. It feels good.

Dumped my first batch last month. Guilt-ridden at first, but it felt liberating after the second bottle went down the drain. To add insult to injury, it was brewed with my first harvest of home-grown hops. It took another four or five batches to get the courage to try the hops again. Thankfully...
