I got H quite a bit of equipment this year to start kegging, but I didn't get the freezer. We went out in search of a good freezer today, and I mentioned we should check Walmart "just in case" since I saw someone said they scored a 7.0cuft GE freezer there for $138 in a different thread...

lol - too funny! I love trying new beers, I'm a wimp though when it comes to hops...although fortunately for me IPA's aren't his favorite either thankfully :) He mentioned brewing up something this weekend...so that means by the time Xmas arrives it would be ready to go ahead and Keg maybe...

Thank you everyone for the excellent advice, I went ahead and purchased the cooler MT that BullGator mentioned and then over-splurged on kegging equipment at KegConnection - now hopefully I got most everything since I don't want to be too much of a half-gifter, lol :-)

I took advantage of the great deals too! Got most everything to start kegging, super excited! :-) Now just gotta wait until Christmas... :-P I totally missed the free shipping though, for some reason I missed the info about the code and thought it was going to be automatically applied - doh! lol

This is also another thing that he has talked about :D Is it too much to do both at once? Should we do kegging before AG or vice versa?

If I don't want to go with plastic for the MT - what are the options? I've seen a lot of posts of people insulating old kegs or stainless kettles - do these work well too?

Is this in addition to our 15 gallon that we currently have?

Currently I drive 67 miles each way, anywhere from 75 - 90 mins usually... Sometimes (most of the time) I work 12-15 hours too - definitely getting a little old! ;-)

Purchased lots of brew equipment for my fiance for Christmas, but didn't get a burner yet since I didn't have time to do much research on those...guess the burner will be a Happy New Years gift? lol Would like to be able to do a full boil, and from browsing some of the threads it looks like...

Welcome! I just got here a few days ago, but everyone seems to be great and willing to help! You have quite the impressive list of equipment there...what are you using for sanitizer? One thing I've learned from reading through all these threads is that cleaner != sanitizer...Ha ha? :)
