Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

Guinness Draught in a can is one of the blandest beers I've ever tasted.

Do you Poo near your Brew?

I imagine that if you had vodka in the airlock it wouldn't really matter..

    Wisconsin Beer Trip

Make sure you take a stadium tour, and head over to the hall of fame across the street from Lambeau field. Seriously, my trip to Lambeau was one of the most memorable of my life. Make sure you get some Chili John's Chili from the stadium too. MMmmm.. And if you're feeling like a fatty head...

Checking a corney on an airplane?

I thought they didn't even allow liquids over like 3 ounces or something like that..

Worst bar experience ever! (Greenville, SC)

Yeah it kinda sounds like you both made asses of yourselves. On one hand, he shouldn't have been talking crap to you, the customer. On the other, you've been going there two years and you don't know what you like that they've got on tap?

Guess what my wife got me for Christmas

    ^ Wow. That's a set up.

    Malts vs Hops

Could also mean a thicker, stronger tasting beer. For example, using 8lbs of grains wouldn't be as "malty" as using 12lbs of grains for a five gallon batch, even if you used the same amount of hops.

    Just wanting to share

Really cool idea, and it looks especially good with the clear bottles. That's my kinda rainbow.

Very interesting thread/experiment. Thanks for all the responses guys, I'll have to try it some time.

    Spicy beer?

Yeah, I googled Habanero beer and got some similar results. But how would one go about "cloning" said beer? Add the peppers to the secondary?

    Spicy beer?

I dunno if this a dumb question or not, but is there such a thing as spicy beer? Not like spices spicy, but hot pepper spicy. I was thinking about the Sam Adams longshot competition, and they wanted something creative, and I've never really heard about "hot" beer. How would you go about...

Irish Stout - How long is too long in fermenter?

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread, but is there a difference between the aging process when you bottle vs. kegging? I've heard people say that beer tastes better if left in the bottle a few weeks or months.. Same goes for kegs, then?

    2010 Sam Adams Winter Classis

I liked the Holiday Porter the best out of the seasonal beers, definitely gonna have to find some Baltika. SA's Boston Lager is always welcome in my home. Was offered a Sam Adams on Thanksgiving (when someone says Sam Adams I think Boston Lager), and was a little disappointed to be handed an...

Alberta bans extra-strong beer over binge risk

I agree with you on all your points. I didn't agree with the Fourloko ban to begin with, as people have been drinking Vodka/Jager and Red Bull for quite some time, and nobody has complained about that. I guess their colorful logos really shot themselves in the foot. If in fact this Alberta...

    Online brewing schools?

The fact that you have a master's degree doesn't count for anything? Are these online programs really that selective? Ah, just saw the science class requirement. Guess you just gotta go to your local community college and take a chemistry or physics class...

Alberta bans extra-strong beer over binge risk

This has to be the reason for the ban. It's been banned in many places in the states recently, and is 12% alcohol. Just over the limit. Also, marketed towards younger drinkers.

    The Brewers Christmas Wish List

Honestly, I'd be happy if i got enough money to just get a better bottle, an airlock, a funnel, and some tubing for siphoning. I'm dirt poor and don't have ANY equipment yet. Oh, and some ingredients for a SMaSH brew.
