    Pressure relief valve...

If anyone out there is in the know, would this device qualify as food safe? It would be used to bleed air from lines between kettles and pumps. Thanks in advance...

    Control

So, with respect to your image here, what type/model of chiller are you using? I have yet to find a chiller (let alone a glycol chiller) that is reasonably priced. Heck, if I could find that, that would make the fermenter transfer a whole lot faster...perhaps even cut 30 minutes off the Brew day

    New Electric Brewery...

Finally received my bulkheads and elements and here's what I went with... https://www.ssbrewtech.com/collections/accessories/products/a-new-accessory-weldless-1-5-tc-fitting...

    Whirlpool port...

Cool product. However, I'm trying to keep everything neat and tidy and only using Tri-Clamp fittings. Thanx.

    Whirlpool port...

How close to the top of a kettle can a 3/4" hole be made (with knockout punch) without compromising the integrity of the kettle? This is a 1bbl kettle with nearly a 1/4" rolled top edge. Thanks.

Herms coil in BK for chilling

Thanx to all! Proof, as always, that supporting the forum is worth it's weight in gold... LIQUID GOLD! :mug:

Herms coil in BK for chilling

Has anyone ever done something like this? I'm considering adding a herms coil to the BK for the chilling process. This way, I can connect a chilling system (glycol or similar) and cool the wort, while in within the bk, without the need for an immersion, counterflow, or plate chiller...not to...

    New Electric Brewery...

Wonder if I could use this in place of the 1.7 OAL extension you indicated? https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/tc15wlfdouble.htm Yes, it's meant to be a bulkhead, but there's no reason it shouldn't work as long as it's sealed between the two halves. I'm going to call them tomorrow and ask...

You've not run into any issues with the element touching the TC bulkhead? If only there was one shorter by .5 inches...or even .25 inches.

    New Electric Brewery...

That's just it, I'm using a weldless TC bulkhead, which is less than 1" total length. With that, the portion in the kettle is nearly 1/2", so I have to take that into account also.

    New Electric Brewery...

I saw that one as well, but there's a bit of conjecture. The vendor States 335mm, while a user question was answered as 350mm. If it actually the latter, that's a hair too long. If it's the former, it's a tight fit. I'll reach out to the vendor and get a definite answer and let y'all know. Thanks.

    New Electric Brewery...

This would be perfect...if it were only TC instead of threaded. Ideally, 1.5" TC as I already have the weldless TC port on the kettle.

Would something like this work as opposed to welding...
