    So s-04, not s-05? I only ask because every other post in this thread regarding alternative bottling yeast to 002 has referred to s-05 I think. I'm doing a Rye IPA this weekend using 002 and plan to cold crash the 002 out of it as much as possible and supplement with a dry yeast for carbing...

    Cool experiment. However, beer doesnt stay in any fermenter at my house much longer than it takes to reach FG. Likewise, it doesnt stay in the bottle much longer than it takes to carbonate, cuz, like, I enjoy drinking beer and stuff. If I can't manipulate the process within fermentation time...

    I've heard the only way yeast will respond in a positive manner to the Grateful Dead is by spiking the yeast nutrient from the LHBS with THC.

    This thread rocks! Thanks for all the info KB, Bierhaus and others. I have been messing with an ESB fermented with WL002 for sometime now with two major problems: an apparant hole in the malt profile and a sour flavor that develops after bottling. I think I can fix both of those issues now.
