will my wax paper mishap kill my yeast?

I just made a batch of candi sugar for a Belgian ale and poured it on wax paper instead of parchment to cool. Now it has some wax soaked into the candi. Will this wax kill my yeast upon fermentation or will the boil somehow disovle it? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Disappearing infection?

Is it possible for an infection to just disappear? I had a batch of Graham's Dry English Cider that got an infection, shown by a white lace like patern on the top. I really felt bad about throwing away the batch so I kept the carboy of cider for another couple months. It is now clear as day...

    Wort Chiller

Okay, I just finished up my first batch using a wort chiller. That is seriously the best investment you can make. It took my chilling time on a five gallon batch down to under 15 minutes. Bought it on Learntobrew.com. Great deal and a great product. -werd:ban:

    Not enough water?

Happy Thanksgiving All, Last sunday I brewed up a batch of Nut Brown Ale. When it came time to top up my batch with water to compensate for what boiled off I filled it up to where I thought the five gallon mark was on my kettle. Today I decided to measure my kettle and it turns out I was...

    First brew photo and question

I just drank the first glass from my first batch. It was very good and has alleviated all worries that I had for the past five weeks. :ban: One question though, when I opened the bottle ( a grolsch) it popped like a champagne bottle and foamed like crazy. Where did I do wrong here...

    I need help!

I brewed my IPA on Monday. The first day is churned and bubbled like mad. The past two days the gravity readings are steady at 1.010. What can I do here? It smells great but it seems to have no alcohol. Should I repitch? Any help would be appreciated. thanks

    yet another newb racking question

I have my first brew, an IPA, in the primary and it's fermenting nicely. I was told that it would need to be racked to the secondary and then I add my final hops. Here is my question: when do I rack it? When my gravity readings are stable? Any help here would be appreciated. Sorry if this...
