    Grist/fermentation question

    If you don't use enough water in your mash, will you have a less fermentable wort? I haven't been keeping track of the volume of my strike water and my last 2 brews wouldn't ferment past .020 and .025 respectively with only about 10% modified grains in the bill. If it's not the water...

    Something that looks like yeast in my airlock

    Any thoughts? Beer has been fermenting 4 days and I just notices some yeast looking substance in my airlock but there wasn't beer everywhere so it doesn't look like an overflow.
