    Wiring question

So after going back and forth multiple times have decided to go to a 2 element single pid system. Using the drawing the the one and only PJ of course came up with I am trying to verify which segments of wire need to be 10 gauge vs which can be 12 or 14 gauge?

eRIMS or eHERMS what drove your choice?

Subscribing to this because I have gone back and forth about this for about 2 weeks now. Started to collect parts from Auberins so really need to finalize the plan and get the last few things...be it another PID or a RIMS tube and a selector switch. Really interested

Is anyone running a 1500w RIMS with a 5500w BK element

So PJ was kind enough to revise a drawing for me for a BIAB setup because I am electrical idiot. I have acquired all most all of the things i need and I am getting closer to the actual wiring. The issue I am having now is that I am looking at wanting to add a RIMS tube to the setup. I have...

How low did you mount your element

I am getting ready to take the step and punch a hole my 10 gallon polar ware and trying to see if there is a height that people have found best? I was thinking about 2 inches off the bottom?

    heating elements box

If I remember right I think kegkits has an outline of how he made his electric kettle and used the smaller box. Just stated that the hole for the element was drilled off center.

    With little electrical background

That's the impression I am getting so I will stick with the original plan to steal...I mean borrow Kal's plan and go from there. Thanks!

    With little electrical background

Sorry. I think everyone is pretty familiar with Kal's at theelectricbrewery.com The other that I was looking at how it was done which seems to be a more simple approach was... http://www.highgravitybrew.com/productcart/pc/Heating-Element-4500-Watt-SS-Twist-lock-Plug-306p3859.htm I guess I am...

    With little electrical background

Can someone explain to me why Kal's design to mount the element in a kettle is superior to say Highgravity? I can't explain it but without totally understanding Kal's seems to be the better design. Just trying to learn some more. Thanks in advance

What options if not comfy cutting the pot

I think I am going to get a pot from High Gravity and have them do that hole. Thanks for all the input everyone.
