    New Temperature controller (Brewbit)

Mine is working fine as a standalone unit, Ive been using it that way for a long time bc the wifi on it was busted. Maybe since I couldn't connect it didnt brick. Still disappointed in this product though, never held a wifi connection consistently enough to work as advertised.

Ive done it before, works fine, but for me I like to keep most of my hoppy beers in the 5-6%. You may get a little drier beer but thats fine.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Totes, but I think what makes it different with this sub-style is that we are really walking a tightrope, its easy for these beers to devolve into a murky mess. Best be careful not to fall off.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Sorry if you took my comment as a shot at your process, it wasn't, as I know nothing of your process. Just voicing my opinion, never said I was better than you. I wasnt calling your process out, and not saying cold crashing is an absolute necessity, I actually dont cold crash myself. What I...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Sorry but I beg to differ, its not that this style is supposed to be hazy, its just that it is hazy by way of how the beer is constructed. These beers weren't originally constructed to be hazy, but to taste/smell a certain way, the haze is a by-product. It doesnt mean you should be cutting...

They used to, but they use Briess now. My Using CMC Pale is not important to the recipe, I don't even use it anymore but I liked it and I was able to get it for $0.25/LB at one time. Use whatever Pale Malt you like, I beleive they use Briess 2-Row now.

By all means, change it up as much as you like, if nothing else its a great base to build from and explore some different techniques and hops.

Yea, this recipe was modeled after the beer way back when it was only the Brew Cafe and for me the beer was much better back then. They've since upped the ABV, and seemingly have much less hop character in the beer then in the past. I also think they used flaked oats for much longer than the...

Totally, I brew one thats heavy on wheat and a touch of Oats. But for the namesake of this thread, its Oat city. I will have to try your Milkshake recipe, or some form of it. Last time I tried 70% Pale, 15% wheat, 15% Flaked Oats, Lactose, Vanilla Bean, Mango Juice, beer sucked for some reason.

You think the Oats are that low? You said before you have the Ominipollo recipe, is that the bill? Just seems weird that TH would use such a small portion of Oats, especially after he said on Steal this Beer they have a beer thats 40% Oats. Ive tried my hand at the Milkshake beers, just once...
