Growing "wild" hops with my rhizomes

Hops grow in the wild, right? What if I was to encourage that by planting rhizomes in areas that fit the soil/sun/drainage characteristics that hops look for? There is so much open and wooded space where I live, much of which never sees another human being... seems like a waste that there are...

$1.50 Keggle Pizza Lid Project (with pictures)

Was looking for lids for my newly converted keggles that have 12" holes in the top, and found a 12" pizza pan at the dollar store. It has a beveled edge to form the crust, which fits really nicely in to my not-exactly-perfect circles. Drilled a hole, put in a SS eye bolt with a nut and...

Belgian Brewery Tour - advice needed

This year I was finally smart enough to overlap a few days of a business trip with Oktoberfest in Munich. I own a business in Germany and am somewhat fluent, but in over a decade of going over there had never made it to the "Wiesn". For those that haven't been, it was fantastic and I highly...

RIMS in a christmas storage box

Was walking through home depot today looking for a good "box" for my RIMS tube, pump, temp controller, etc and found a red and green christmas box on sale. Some wood inside for structure, and viola! :) All the plugs/controller/etc are outside right now, next step is to put them inside...
