I have heard that New Castle is now making the kegs for the beertender, does anyone know about this? Against my better judgement my MIL bought the FIL a beertender for xmas(Isuggested a Tap A Draft so he could drink my beer). He is ok with the Heiny kegs but wants something different. If anyone...

thank god my job doesn't involve saving lives or anything

Wow that is kind of harsh! Grouping a large group of people as a self centered workforce. I am in LE and when I am off work it stays at work, I love my job but I have a life outside of it too. Gnome I am sorry if you have had a bad experience in the past with a public servant, but please believe...

Can I add fresh cider after fermentation is done?

I guess I now have the same question. I cold crashed my cider in the primary and transferred to secondary cold crashed again then transferred to my keg. I sweetened it with 1/2 gallon of cider. So it will start fermentation again????

post a picture of your homemade bar so I can get ideas.

It was a 1 car garage. there is a full bath behind the refrigerator. In the front(not in pic) are vintage pinball and slot machine. Dont worry I did not loose my garage space I built a 24x24 detached.

    better bottle vs glass carboy

I have both, and an ale pail... dont really have an opinion. I did get lucky one of the water stores was using 6 gallon bottles for a while and every time I went I would trade my 5 gallon for a 6 gallon and kept the six gallon bottles and it cost me 6.99. They wonder why I dont have a trade in...

You know you're a brewer if...

I just read all the pages and LOL at the cop thing. I was brewing at a buddys house and 3 squads drove by slow, then one finally noticed what we were doing and just waved. After brewing I went home and the last cop saw my squad in my driveway and asked what we were doing, he will now probably be...

Has anyone bought from adventures in homebrewing?

I ordered all of my kegging stuff from them. Two yrs later and the kegs are still fine, did not do anything other than a good cleaning. Thier keg prices cant be beat.

    pumpking ale question

I did not use Yuri's recipe, but I put some vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and nutmeg in my secondary. I did put spices in the boil also but I had so much settle in the primary. Mine has a great smell and a hint of the spice flavor.

Sizzling keg, am I scorching my wort?

I would say it is water boiling out of the bottom ring. Do some looking on the forum, you might drill some 1/8" holes for draining if it does not have them already. I could be wrong but I think Yuri has a video posted of a keg without a vent and too much heat.
