I usually use us05, first time with notty. Never seen a pack of yeast like this. Yeast is all in lower half of package and solid. Ive used windsor and it was never like this. Is it worth even trying it?
i grabbed an lb of leaf and i'm looking to try something that showcases the columbus...any thoughts on the recipe below? its a little high on the ibu for an apa so i'll probably adjust it down a little, maybe .75 oz at 60 min. any other thoughts?

is wicked good. just tapped the xmas keg (you know, just to be sure it's ready) and its really good. nice big robust nutty brown flavour, creamy body, and nice head. what else could you want? have a good holiday boys and girls!
