    rims plugging with grain....

I think we figured it out.....after getting rid of the spent grain, we saw that the false bottom doesn't sit flat in the kettle. It has a slight warp to it. Think that's the problem?

    rims plugging with grain....

We set up a direct fire rims type of system. The mash tun is a blichmann kettle with false bottom. Tube runs out the bottom, through pump, up and back, into the top to cycle the wart. We are having issues with grain, plugging the tube when we first start running the pump. Any suggestions on...

    brewing with nuts...

I've been seeing a few beers POP up lately that either age on some sort of nut or maybe have them go into the boil. One I've seen was aged on almonds. Has anybody tried this? I've always thought that the oils/fats would cause some problems...like going rancid amount other things.

    new plate chiller

So......my bro just picked up a new plate chiller and we tried it tonight....worst brew night ever. After we would run sanatizer through it.....we'd hook up the wort and immediately get an air lock. After taking everything apart, sucking sanatizer and wort into my mouth, and a mildly boiled...
